KNARLY VANS MERCH DESIGN
Translating van life into tangible products that customers can wear with pride.
This project was all about capturing the feeling of van life: crisp air, winding roads, and the freedom of adventure. I partnered with Knarly Vans to create an exclusive T-Shirt and hat design that brought their love of the outdoors to life.
We landed on a monoline illustration style for the T-Shirt to keep things clean but still full of personality. The design weaves together little moments that make van life special: camping under the stars, spotting wildlife, slow mornings with a cup of coffee, and being immersed in nature.
We designed a complimentary runner-style hat to pair with the T-Shirt, using pops of orange and green to bring in an outdoorsy energy. It’s lightweight, fun, and something you’d grab for a hike or weekly errands.
The T-Shirt and hat design are a small love letter to being outside, staying curious, and making wherever you park feel like home.

Initial Storyboards
One of the main deliverables for Summer of Galaxy was a 15 second promotional video, which introduced the campaign and its’ different reward tiers. I created the storyboards that mapped out the flow and energy of the video, making sure each moment felt vibrant and on-brand. I worked closely with our clients at Samsung to get the storyboards just right before moving into motion.

As you can see, the promotional video ended up looking a bit different from the initial storyboards! After receiving client approval, I connected with our Motion Design team to bring the storyboards to life. They took them and ran, creating a video that was not only colorful and fun, but incredibly engaging! Throughout the process, I offered both art direction and feedback to the team, ensuring we obtained a polished end result.
Campaign Key Visuals
Key Visuals were created to represent the different reward tiers for Summer of Galaxy, which included entertainment, music, and gaming. To separate them out visually, specific colors were sourced from the main gradient and used as the category’s color scheme. Our 2022 sponsors were showcased throughout these visuals, highlighting Netflix for entertainment, Sabrina Carpenter for music, and PUBG for gaming.
