POWER-UP PUB BRAND IDENTITY

An arcade-inspired brand identity that earned a spot in the final five.

Each year, The Dallas Society of Visual Communications hosts “The Wrench”, a design competition that challenges creatives across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with a unique creative brief. For the 2025 competition, designers were tasked with creating a brand identity for a faux retro bar and arcade.

I developed a vibrant identity filled with bold 80s-inspired gradients, pixel typography, and playful illustrations that celebrated retro arcades. After submitting my entry, I was thrilled to learn that I had been selected as one of five finalists for the competition’s live finale! We presented our brand identity concepts to an audience, who then voted for their favorite design. While I didn't take home the top prize, the experience of sharing my work and connecting with fellow creatives was incredibly rewarding.

This project remains one of my favorite creative explorations. A chance to embrace nostalgia, experiment with bold visuals, and celebrate alongside the DFW design community.
